Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino wants to know why disgraced former Assemblyman Arthur Barclay still has a county job and reminds us of the county spokesman’s histroy of lying to the press. Ambrosino’s press release follows:

HADDON HEIGHTS – Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino said the fact former Assemblyman Arthur Barclay appearing in news reports again raises questions.

At issue is a recent report that the former assemblyman is still employed by Camden County.

“I don’t know what bothers me most, the fact the former assemblyman still has a county job, that the Democrats tried to cover for him after his arrest last year or that after a promised investigation Mr. Barclay was moved to a different job with a pay raise,” Richard Ambrosino said. “Obviously, there are still many unanswered questions to the Arthur Barclay saga.”

Ambrosino explained, “For example, on June 18, 2018 it was reported that a ‘spokesman for the county and for the police department’ said they ‘were just made aware of the incident.’ We know that statement was about as true as a Cherry Hill mayor being on a snowplow.”

“In that same report the spokesman claimed the arrest would be ‘investigated by human resources as a personnel matter.’” Ambrosino asked, “Was the incident investigated by human resources or did the spokesman misspeak like he did about the mayor on the snowplow all those years ago?”

Ambrosino also asked, “Is it common for county employees who admit to punching their girlfriends to be given new jobs and pay raises? Does county government agree with what Congressman Norcross said at the time that, ‘This type of behavior is unacceptable under any circumstances,’ and, if so, why is the former assemblyman still employed by the county? Given the fact it was reported that Mr. Barclay resigned from the New Jersey Assembly for ‘health reasons,’ does his health prevent him from performing any of the duties associated with his county job or the job he held previously?”

“Residents of Camden County deserve truthful answers,” Ambrosino said. “At the very least, those who engage in unacceptable behavior shouldn’t be getting new jobs with pay raises. We’re not letting this issue ride off into the sunset like a mayor on a snowplow.”

PRESS RELEASE: Testa: Dye Added to the Laundry List of Ex Murphy Staffers Accused of Misconduct

LD1 state Senate candidate Mike Testa hit Governor Phil Murphy over Jeffrey Dye being just one of a “laundry list” of questionable hires. Testa’s press release on the matter follows:

Cape May Court House - Following the recent Anti-Semitic comments made by a former Murphy Administration employee, New Jersey State Senate Candidate Mike Testa, Jr. issued the following statement:

"The recent Anti-Semitic comments made by Jeffrey Dye should be an alarm to all New Jersey residents, including to families like my own... whose ancestors survived the Holocaust and came to America for a better life," Testa said referring to his grandparents Samuel and Eva Flumen, who met in a Nazi Concentration Camp.

According to reports, the Murphy Administration hired Jeffrey Dye after receiving warning of Dye's Anti-Semitic and Anti-Latino viewpoints.

"Make no mistake - the Murphy Administration clearly ignored warnings of Dye's Anti-Semitic past. And yet, they gave him a high-paying, taxpayer funded job anyway," Testa, Jr. added.  "Just like the ignored warnings about an alleged sex abuser and gave him a cushy job, and looked the other way while the Vice-Chair of the Democratic State Committee turned a multi-billion dollar public agency into a patronage pit for unqualified family and friends.  I'm not sure whether the Murphy Administration is incompetent, corrupt, or both, but either way, we need to elect a Republican check and balance in Trenton against this mess in November."

I’ve been hearing rumors of a possible new Republican entrant in the 2020 CD2 primary and finally have confirmed the possibility with two sources.

Sources tell me retired U.S. Navy Captain Brian Glackin is making the rounds and seriously considering getting into the CD2 GOP primary. According to sources, Glackin has discussed the possibility of getting into the race with at least one county chair in the district.

Glackin is a lobbyist with The Livingston Group, and according to his bio on the company website, as well as his LinkedIn profile, has an impressive resume.

Don’t think that just because he’s a lobbyist that it means Glackin isn’t a “nice guy.” Working with The Livingston Group Glackin did once lobby for the Puppies Assisting Wounded Servicemembers Act of 2016 according to Politico. Seriously, who doesn’t like puppies?

Glackin, according to sources, does own property in the district and actually lives at that property when he’s not in Washington, DC working.

We’ll update you as we learn more. Stay tuned!
