PRESS RELEASE: Camden County GOP Calls Out City Of Camden Over False Social Media Post, City Deletes Comments, Then Deletes Post

Camden County Republicans called out the City of Camden for a Facebook post that contained false information regarding COVID-19. Apparently, the Democrats in Camden didn’t like being called out and deleted comments made by CCGOP, then later deleted the post entirely. Following is the Camden County Republicans press release on the matter (with screenshots):
HADDON HEIGHTS – Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino congratulated his social media team for calling out the City of Camden for a misleading COVID-19 social media post and ultimately seeing the City remove the post.
At issue is that the City of Camden stated in a Facebook post that “99.9% of the people contracting COVID-19 are unvaccinated.” Camden County Republicans commented, in part, “99% of those contracting COVID-19 survive unless they were in Governor Phil Murphy nursing homes.” Late Thursday night, shortly after 10:00 PM, Republicans shared the Camden City post with the organization’s comment. Friday morning, all comments were deleted by the City of Camden, followed by a removal of the post.
“The Democrats, from the local level up to the gubernatorial and presidential levels, have used the COVID-19 pandemic for political gain for too long,” CCGOP Chairman Rich Ambrosino said. “My team has pushed back on the fear mongering by the Democrats at every step of the way. This goes to show, even the Democrats are paying attention to our social media efforts.”
CCGOP executive director Tom Crone added, “Here in Camden County, we have Mr. Norcross living amongst us, so the Democrats for the foreseeable future will have more money than us. The best, most cost-effective way for us to fight back against all that money is social media. We’ve put a lot of work into our social media efforts and it is starting to show.”
“The Democrats cannot beat us on the issues. They cling to the COVID-19 pandemic as their only issue because the Bill of Rights is above Phil Murphy’s pay grade and he thinks that if taxes are your issue you should move.” Crone said, “If the Democrats are going to continue to cling to COVID-19, we’ll keep reminding voters of all the nursing home deaths caused by Phil Murphy’s mishandling of the pandemic.”
