/Last night Egg Harbor Township Committeeman Andrew Parker announced he will see the Republican nomination for Atlantic County Freeholder in District 3. Parker’s press release follows:
Egg Harbor Township, NJ - December 10, 2019 - Andrew Parker, who is a committeeman in Egg Harbor Township, has announced his candidacy for Atlantic County Freeholder in District 3 today. A well-known community volunteer and public servant Parker is the Egg Harbor Township Committee liaison responsible for Economic Development.
Following an 11-year tenure on the Egg Harbor Township Zoning Board of Adjustment and a long history of support within the party Parker was asked to serve on Township Committee two years ago. Following his victory, Parker immediately gained the attention of Republican leaders both in Atlantic County and across New Jersey as someone with a bright future in Republican politics. Since taking office, Parker has become well known in community circles as a tireless worker and a team player. “The people who support me know that I represent the voice of the people in our local government, focusing on economic prosperity and equity,” Parker said.
“I am excited and look forward to becoming part of the freeholder team. This team is making great progress in the economy of Atlantic County, and we must continue this path. I am ready and able to help the team succeed,” said Parker.

Andrew W. Parker III is a lifelong Republican and the first African American elected to the township committee in Egg Harbor Township. Andrew is a schoolteacher in Atlantic City Public School District, a member of the NJEA, the NAACP Mays Landing-Pleasantville Branch, the Hispanic Association of Atlantic County, and many other volunteer organizations which serve the community in many different capacities. Andrew is married with three children and resides in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
