NJGOP Executive Director Theresa Winegar called out LD-25 Assembly candidates Lisa Bhimani and Darcy Draeger for distorting the truth about Assemblyman Anthony Bucco’s position on lowering healthcare costs. NJGOP’s press release on the issue follows:

Trenton, NJ - Yesterday, LD-25 Assembly candidates Lisa Bhimani and Darcy Draeger released an attack on Assemblyman Anthony Bucco, falsely claiming he opposed lowering healthcare costs. NJGOP Executive Director Theresa Winegar released the following statement checking the Democrat challengers:

"Not only is Assemblyman Bucco a cancer survivor himself, but he has spent his time in public service fighting for New Jersey's most vulnerable citizens. He has consistently supported measures that would expand access to healthcare and make our state more affordable.

“Lisa Bhimani and Darcy Draeger should apologize for lying about a cancer survivor. Voters in Morris and Somerset Counties deserve a debate on healthcare rooted in facts, not political talking points and personal slander.”
