PRESS RELEASE: Norcross Tweets “No One Is Above The Law.” Ambrosino Asks “What About Confessed Domestic Abusers?”

Today, CCGOP Chairman Rich Ambrosino continued going after Camden County Democrats for “protecting” former Assemblyman Arthur Barclay. Ambrosino’s press release follows:

HADDON HEIGHTS – Yesterday, shortly after U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced the House of Representatives is moving forward with an official impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump, Congressman Donald Norcross tweeted that he agrees with Pelosi and said, “No one is above the law.”

“Since we now know Congressman Norcross believes ‘no one is above the law’ perhaps he will be willing to be the first Democrat from Camden County to explain why it is okay for a confessed domestic abuser to continue to hold a county job,” Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino said. “It only makes sense the Congressman explains why the political machine that got him to where he is continues to protect former Assemblyman Arthur Barclay.”

Ambrosino added, “The only thing that could possibly stop Norcross from speaking on the Barclay issue is that the political machine protecting Barclay is headed by Norcross’s own brother.”

“Since, at the time Barclay resigned from the Assembly, Congressman Norcross said, ‘This type of behavior is unacceptable under any circumstances,’ I invite the Congressman to join me in calling for the Camden County machine Democrats to stop protecting Arthur Barclay, explain how Barclay was transferred to a new job after resigning from the Assembly for ‘health reasons’ and then, together, we can call for Barclay’s resignation from his county job,” Ambrosino said. “We’ve been dealing with the Arthur Barclay situation for over a year, it’s time someone from the political machine speak up.”
