PRESS RELEASE: Toto Rescinds Richter Endorsement and Backs Van Drew

Another day, another endorsement for Congressman Jeff Van Drew. The campaign’s press release follows:

Somers Point Councilman and Atlantic County Republican Freeholder At-Large candidate James Toto rescinded his endorsement of David Richter this morning and released the following statement backing Republican Congressman Jeff Van Drew for re-election. 

"Having known Congressman Van Drew for several years I always appreciated his conservative values and dedication to our community, said Councilman Toto. “Jeff and I have spoken several times recently about issues that are important to me as an elected official including honoring our Veterans.  I'm happy to welcome Congressman Jeff Van Drew to the Republican party and join with President Trump in supporting him." 

Toto had been one of Richter’s earliest supporters and had made regular appearances with the candidate on the campaign trail. He now joins Galloway Councilmen Coppola, Clute, and DiPietro in having rescinded their support of Richter to endorse Van Drew.
