PRESS RELEASE: Gloucester County Republican Chairwoman Says NJDSC Are The Real Hypocrites
/Gloucester County GOP Chairwoman Jacci Vigilante swung back at the New Jersey State Democratic Committee’s attack on former Assemblyman Jack Ciatterelli. The GCGOP press release follows:
Gloucester County Republican Chairwoman Jacci Vigilante said today, “If New Jersey Democrats weren’t such hypocrites the New Jersey State Democratic Committee’s unprovoked attack on former Assemblyman Jack Ciatterelli yesterday would be laughable.”
At issue is a statement released yesterday in which the NJDSC referred to former Assemblyman Jack Ciatterelli as, “Just another #MAGA Republican Hypocrite.”
“While it’s way too early to offer an endorsement in what will likely be a primary for governor next year I cannot allow a hypocritical, unprovoked attack go without a response,” Gloucester County GOP Chairwoman Jacci Vigilante said. “For any Democrat, the Governor, the State Party chair or the NJDSC to throw the word ‘hypocrite’ around is hypocritical.”
“The NJDSC, and every Democrat in the state, ignored it when the news broke that Governor Phil Murphy forced the women on the soccer team he owns to live in deplorable conditions, some with what the New York Post called ‘pervy landlords.’” Vigilante continued, “Incredibly, we still don’t know who hired Al Alvarez, and the NJDSC has ignored that. The NJDSC has chosen to ignore that we had to have a special election in LD5 after a Democrat Assemblyman resigned for ‘health reasons’ after admitting to punching his girlfriend in the face and yet ended up with a new government job that CCGOP Chairman Ambrosino has been asking about for nearly a year.”
Vigilante added, “As a woman I am offended at the lack of outrage from Democrats over Governor Murphy’s track record of poor treatment of women, but Democrat hypocrisy doesn’t end there. When Congressman Donald Norcross announced his first run for Congress he bragged about how he ‘led the charge on getting the Economic Opportunity Act passed into law’ and how it would create ‘thousands of jobs in our region.’ While the Governor has been happy to attack the elder Norcross, the NJDSC has remained silent about the Congressman’s role in the tax incentive scandals and has refused to ask where the thousands of promised jobs are.”
“The folks at the NJDSC have to learn, no one gets to throw the word hypocrite around when they are the true hypocrites,” Vigilante said, “I would strongly suggest they stop throwing stones from within in their glass house.”
