In a press release distributed last evening NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt ripped Democrats for the “ethical void among” them. The release speaks for itself:

NJGOP Chairman: Corruption Flu Is Contagious And Spreading Among NJ Democrats

Josh Welle Falsified A Financial Disclosure Report

Trenton, NJ - New Jersey Democrats are developing a consistent pattern of running into ethics issues in the 2018 election cycle.

Earlier this year, Senator Bob Menendez was severely admonished by a bi-partisan Senate Ethics Committee for his corrupt and unethical behavior.

Just yesterday, Governor Phil Murphy doubled down and defended the illegal hiring of a former elected official who was convicted of taking $26,000 in bribes.

Congressional candidates Andy Kim and Tom Malinowski have each taken illegal tax breaks for their Washington D.C. homes, while they run for office in New Jersey.

The Burlington County Democratic organization stood by candidate George Youngkin even after it was revealed that he was arrested for assaulting his wife and harassing another woman.

And now, according to a report,  New Jersey Congressional District 4 Democrat challenger Josh Welle falsified a financial disclosure report. Welle owes $130,424.14 in delinquent taxes to the State of Delaware for a business that he co-founded in 2015. He wrongfully reported on his Financial Disclosure Statement filed with the Clerk House of Representatives that the company was dissolved.

"There is an ethical void among New Jersey Democrats," said NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt. "It starts all the way at the top with corrupt Senator Bob Menendez and Governor Phil Murphy and trickles all the way down. Bob Menendez is patient zero of the corruption flu and he's coughing all over candidates like Josh Welle."
