Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino went after Assemblywomen Pam Lampitt and Gabriela Mosquera for being ‘do as we say not as we do’ South Jersey Democrats. His [press release follows:

HADDON HEIGHTS – Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino asked today when Camden County’s Democrat Assemblywomen were going to end their hypocrisy.

At issue is a recent press release issued by Assemblywomen Pam Lampitt and Gabriela Mosquera heralding a bill offering support to victims of violence and abuse.

“While I agree victims of violence and abuse should be supported, I question the level of support Assemblywomen Lampitt and Mosquera actually provide to victims of violence and abuse, Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino said. “Both Assemblywomen sat silently on the sidelines when the news of former Assemblyman Arthur Barclay’s arrest for a domestic incident broke.”

Ambrosino asked, “Where was their support for the former Assemblyman’s girlfriend after he punched her in the face?”

Ambrosino explained, “In their press release Lampitt said, ‘Each year, 10 million Americans will be physically abused by their partners, over 430,000 will be sexually assaulted and nearly 5 million seniors will experience elder abuse. These numbers are appalling and simply cannot be ignored.’”

“For once I agree with Lampitt, those numbers cannot be ignored.” Ambrosino continued, “It’s time for Lampitt to explain to the residents of her district why she chose to ignore the fact that an Assemblyman admitted to punching his girlfriend.”

“Did Assemblywomen Lampitt and Mosquera ignore the Barclay arrest because he’s in their party? Are they ignoring the fact he still has a county job because he’s in their party? Are Assemblywomen Lampitt and Mosquera happy with being silent hypocrites,” Ambrosino asked.

“This is just another example of the ‘do as we say not as we do’ South Jersey Democrats in action,” Ambrosino said.

PRESS RELEASE: Lampitt Continues Silence On Barclay While Weighing In On Another Race

CCGOP Chairman Rich Ambrosino ain’t having it. He called out Assemblywoman Pam Lampitt, again, for her silence on the Arthur Barclay issue. His press release follows:

HADDON HEIGHTS – “Typically I would never consider weighing in on an Assembly race two hours north of my county, but Assemblywoman Pam Lampitt had the audacity to stick her nose in it and I refuse to let her, or any Camden Democrat, get away with it,” Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino said.

At issue is a published report in which Assemblywoman Pam Lampitt accuses Assemblyman Jon Bramnick and Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz of exaggerating their support of New Jersey’s equal pay law.

“It’s nauseating that Assemblywoman Lampitt would use the equal pay law, an important women’s issue, as a way to score cheap political points in a North Jersey Assembly district when for over a year she has remained silent over the fact that one of her fellow Camden County machine Democrats, former Assemblyman Arthur Barclay, who admitted to punching his girlfriend still has a county job,” Ambrosino said.

Ambrosino added, “Even worse, Lampitt dragged an Assemblywoman from Burlington County, Carol Murphy, into this. One has to wonder if Assemblywoman Murphy is aware that we’ve been trying to get Lampitt to break her silence on the Barclay issue for over a year.”

Ambrosino asked, “Is Assemblywoman Murphy aware that Lampitt, like every other Camden County Democrat, is supportive of a confessed domestic abuser?”

Answering his own question Ambrosino said, “Obviously not considering Murphy made a remark about ‘a woman who is clearly afraid of losing her seat.’ No doubt if the women of LD 6 knew Lampitt was supportive of a confessed domestic abuser she would be afraid of losing her seat.”

“Maybe it’s time for Pam Lampitt to stop worrying about races in North Jersey and start explaining to folks in her own district why she supports a confessed domestic abuser being transferred to a new job in county government,” Ambrosino said. “If she wants to continue to refer to herself as a ‘leader’ perhaps she should start leading.”

PRESS RELEASE: 372 Days Of Silence Is Too Long

Press Release.jpg

CCGOP Chairman Rich Ambrosino continued calling out Camden County Democrats on their silence over disgraced former Assemblyman Arthur Barclay still holding a county job. His press release follows:

HADDON HEIGHTS – Today marks 372 days since several Camden County Republican candidates called out Assemblywoman Pam Lampitt and other “South Jersey women leaders” for their silence on the issue of former Assemblyman Arthur Barclay’s arrest.

“Hypocrites! That’s what Assemblywomen Pam Lampitt and Pat Egan Jones and Freeholders Carmen Rodriguez and Susan Shin-Angulo are,” Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino said.

“373 days ago these self-proclaimed women leaders complained about Brett Kavanaugh because of allegations, but remained silent over the arrest and subsequent admission of domestic violence by former Assemblyman Arthur Barclay.” Ambrosino added, “They knew Barclay still had a county job because we began asking if he was keeping his county job on July 12, 2018.”

Ambrosino continued, “At the time we asked, ‘Is this just another case of Camden County machine politics where they sweep their problems under the rug?’”

“Susan Shin-Angulo is trying to move from freeholder to mayor of Cherry Hill.” Ambrosino remarked, “Barclay’s transfer to a new job in county government happened on her watch, she owes an explanation to county and municipal voters. Carmen Rodriguez is up for re-election and wants to remain a freeholder, she needs to explain her role in approving Barclay’s job transfer. Pam Lampitt wants to remain in the Assembly, voters have a right to hear her explain her hypocrisy.”

“372 days of silence is too long” Ambrosino said, “Things are different now. This is the new reenergized Camden County Republican Party and we’re fighting the wrongs of the Democrats every step of the way and we are going to right this wrong by getting an explanation as to why the Democrats are protecting a confessed domestic abuser by transferring him to a new job.”
