A Little National Recognition For A Camco Republican

It can be tough being a Republican in South Jersey. We live and campaign in the shadow of political boss George Norcross. And, he is a boss, with Salon once writing:

“Norcross sits atop a sprawling nexus of insurance, health care and philanthropic enterprises in New Jersey, and is one of those wealthy Democratic National Committee members who, despite some progressive rule changes post 2016, will have an oversized role in picking his party’s presidential nominee next year.”

So, when you are part of a political organization that has to run against the team headed by a guy who had “an oversized role in picking his party’s presidential nominee,” you get to brag when one of your candidates gets a little national recognition.

Camden County Republicans now have some bragging rights because last week the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) put LD6 GOP candidate Rich Super in their “2021 New Jersey Candidates Spotlights” series.”

Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino has a tough job running a party in the county in which Democrat party boss Norcross lives. Often times recruiting candidates is far from easy. But, as hard as it is, Ambrosino does find a way to recruit quality candidates and, last week, national Republicans recognized one of those quality candidates in Rich Super.

Congratulations Rich Super on the recognition and great job on the candidate recruitment Chairman Ambrosino.

In a letter to the NJEA dated June 19 the Republican candidates in LD6, John Foley for Senate and Ed Farmer and Rich Super for Assembly, made their feelings about the union’s policies clear.

The candidates started their letter strong writing, “To be very frank, we do not believe that you are an organization that has the best interest of New Jersey educators, parents, and children in mind.” Foley, Farmer and Super then said, “…we believe you stick your finger up and feel the political winds before reaching any type of conclusion or decision as to which policies you advocate for and against.”

The GOP trio was clear writing, “We would not want your endorsement until you commit full and unequivocal support for ending the ridiculous policy of keeping our children masked in school.”

Kudos to the Republicans in LD6! You can read their letter below:
